Four WW2 gun emplacement structures that guard the SW approaches. Less
obvious defences if at sea level.
On the central right edge of the picture is the western end of the
airport perimeter. I wasn't expecting to gain permission from ATC to
fly here but it was a case of don't ask, don't get, and it wasn't a
problem.
I had not visited this part of the island before and plan to revisit
the next time I am over as I was in a bit of a rush to appreciate the
cliff paths and the gannet colony.
