What would anything mean if you lived forever? If there was no urgency to do anything, would you still do it?
Remember that every moment is a gift and don't take life for granted. Trying to see the good when things get hard is definitely a challenge, but your mind has a superpower when it comes to processing things.
What seems impossible now might be something you look back to in the future and wonder why did you even worry.
Make the best of what you have and look forward, because that's the only direction you can take in life. Memento Mori.

After waiting for this trip for more than half a year, we lost track of time and I almost missed the sunset on the only night I was spending here. Luckily traffic was light and the elements for this photo presented themselves and I was able to get this shot. There wasn't much time to figure out the best spot but in the end I'm pretty happy with this one. Maybe some day I will revisit, but for the moment this will do.
This picture will look best viewed on a big screen!

A year ago my life was very different from what it is at this moment. It has been difficult to go face-to-face with myself after so long being with someone that I realise I don't even know who I am.
I start noticing things that I couldn't see. Feeling things I had only felt a very long time ago. Much of it being feeling lost, but some reminding me of who I was years ago. Also, what being alone is like.
On top of all that is the feeling of uncertainty. Feeling like you don't know if you're good enough. Doubting every last thing about yourself. But I have gained something, the ability to recognise feelings. Being able to control the thoughts that come from feelings and sorting them based on how real the thoughts are and what is worth fearing and what is not.
Now it is autumn again. And every single thing reminds me of what was one year ago. One year ago, to the date, every day. I was with someone very special to me. Every smell, every feeling of cold, every sight of falling leaves. It makes me FEEL what I felt then. But none of that can be no more. I thought of it so much more than what came to be. It wasn't to be. Now I stand here, only to be reminded of everything that was, waiting for the time to be able to look forward for what is to come. But for now, I am alone.

Saw some pretty clouds outside so I went out looking for a shot, but turned out they didn't make for a good picture. Finland is known for its lakes, so I found this classic pier-lake shot of lake Näsijärvi with the rising sun casting some early morning light rays over the horizon illuminating this view and damp pier with some nice calming blue hues.
Näsijärvi is directly to the north of Tampere and its area is 256 square kilometers. It is the 16th largest lake in Finland.
