At Blackie Spit this morning I could hear a male Belted Kingfisher ( or juvenile female) circling the shore and laughing away. I was trying to photograph some Starlings when the Belted Kingfisher come up on the other side of the tree and landed 15 feet away. The Starlings fled and I fired away hoping to get a good shot before he realized I was there. I think I did quite well.
As I was leaving Crescent Beach I had a Barred Owl fly across the road in front of me; so cool! I parked and tried to find it; but no luck.
