Kate Smith lived and worked around her home, 15 miles north of London, and used her friends for models. She was a member of the Watford Camera and Photographic Society, amongst other, and exhibited at many salons.
Her equipment was a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Adams Vesta camera with a Zeiss lens.
"Earth's Bounty" was exhibited in the 1912 Salon.
