There’s people have been roaming the seas for centauries, and now they governments of Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are forcing these people to settle. Only problem is, all three governments are trying to get them to settle on the other governments land. These poor people, once proud of their nomadic sea life have been moved back and forth now for 8 years, and no sign of a passport from any country materializing.

This was my first sight of the Philippines. And even after months in Indonesia and Malaysia, It was a shock. The Poverty here is appalling. As my boat pulled up into port around 12 wooden boats from the Bajau Laut sea gypsies pleaded with me for one hour to throw them money or food. When money was thrown they would dive in to catch the coins (the harbor is 20 meters deep!).
