One of the Galleries in The Vatican
I can't remember if this is one of the "Raphael" rooms or not! It is all so overwhelming... Taken through my #samyang 7.5mm #fishie on the Oly OM-d E-M5. I am at the airport leaving, the FIRST wifi I have had, so sorry for the lack of posts!
We had a scare too, when we were at the Pantheon, someone broke into our hotel room AND opened the safe! I think they were after our passports (Which we ALWAYS keep on us!) but the computer and other things were in the safe! I don't know if we disturbed them (and the fled out the window) when we arrived back in the middle of the day, or what, but thank goodness the computer (and photos!) were still there!

The Pantheon
The Pantheon from one of the side street in Rome. That unreinforced concrete dome is about 2000 years old!

The Dome of the Pantheon
Inside a 2000 Year old building! This is the inside of the massive dome of the Pantheon in Rome. This is an unreinforced concrete dome that was poured around 28AD under the orders of Emperor Hadrian as a Temple to the Gods. It is now a Christian Church.
This was a difficult shot as it was very dim, and the light from the hole in the top (the "oculus") was not bright because it was early in the morning, and this thing is HUGE!
