Glastonbury Tor
Approaching the 15th Century tower that sits alone atop Glastonbury Tor, on a dull morning. Some people believe that this area used to be the island of Avalon from the tales of King Arthur, there is no doubt that this place has a great feel... It is a heck of a walk up it though!

Glaston-baa-ry Tor
Sheep graze around the 15th century church tower that stands on to of Glastonbury Tor in Somerset. I even lugged my tripod (for once) up to the top of the Tor, and the moment I set it up, these guys decided to come & see what I was up to!

Almost There!
Near the top of the long hike up to the top of Glastonbury Tor.
It is wildly held that this Tor was the island of Avalon from the King Arthur stories. The Tower is from a 15th Century church that stood on the site.
The Tor is also supposed to be the home of Gwyn ap Nudd, King of the Fairies.

A couple of visitors to the top of Glastonbury Tor sit in quiet contemplation of the view over the Somerset Levels. There is no doubt that this place has a wonderful "feel". Many hold that this place was King Arthur's Avalon.
