Llanthony Priory was built between 1180 & 1230 and is still only partly a ruin (the rest being a Hotel). It is in Monmouthshire in Wales
These ruined windows look out to one of the "Black Mountains".

In a valley that I think is called "Capel y Ffin", in the shadow of the Black Mountain in Wales, we passed a small Chapel, but outside there was this interesting counterpoint.
