This is one of the Lions at the Buda end of the Chain Bridge that links Buda with Pest across the Danube.
It's proper name is "Széchenyi Chain Bridge" and it was opened in 1849 - The Lions at each end were added in 1852.
It was sleeting when I took this. A difficult shot in poor light ;-)

This is Budapest in the fog that rolled in as soon as the snow stopped on Friday. Taken from the hill upon which sits the "Citadel".
3exp HH HDR at almost full zoom - I was standing almost knee deep in snow at the time, and it was cccold!

Another Lion from Budapest, this time in the Buda Castle on the top of the hill. I was so windy & cold here II don't think I have ever been so cold in my life!
This is a 3 exp (shaky) hand held HDR
(You may note the patches in this statue, as most of this would have been destroyed during WW2 and then pieced back together again!)

Sitting on the hill on the Buda side of the River Danube is Buda Castle in Budapest. This night exposure was taken from the railing of the tram line using my trusty gorillapod, in sub-zero temperatures.
