The beach at Tossa De Mar on the Costa Brava, Spain. NOT an HDR, but 3, 10 second exposures manually blended. I didn't have my Tripod (no room) so this was done using the "gorillapod" sitting on the wall of the road to the Castle gate, which is halfway up the hill

The ancient walls of the village of Tossa De Mar in Spain dominate the beach & bay. These huge walls were a defence against pirates , as the village was all but inaccessible by land. - I had the curse of the landscape photographer! Notice the sky, not a SINGLE cloud!! Difficult!

Despite the fabulously preserved castle and medieval village (on the hill in the background), the reason most people come to Tossa De Mar is the beach. Just LOOK at that sky! This is just the main beach of the town. - it is very course sand, not like the fine white beaches of Alderney ;-)
