Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar was the HMS Victory. Nelson died on this ship, which is preserved as it was in 1806 when he died, in dry dock at the "Portsmouth Historic Dockyard". This is the lower Gundeck and the gally can be seen in the background on the right.
Despite appearances, was very dark in this area, and I had to steady myself against the hull to get this shot.

This is the kitchen (galley) as it was in 1805 during the battle.I think that is the same rat too. It was quite dark, that lamp was the only light. This is a hand held (resting on a door frame) 3 exp HDR

The HMS "Victory" was launched in 1765, and, most famously, was Admiral Lord Nelson's flagship during the battle of Trafalgar against the French fleet. Nelson was fatally shot by a French Muscat as he stood on the deck of this ship, which is now in dry dock in the "Portsmouth Historic Dockyard".
Behind her, in this photo, is the building containing the remains of the HMS "Mary Rose".

Another view of the HMS Warrior on a foggy morning.
The HMS Warrior was the first iron-clad battleship in the British fleet. She was launched in 1860, and is now a part of the "Historic Dockyard" in Portsmouth.
