Crew ready a Britten-Norman BN-2A Mk.3 Trilander for flight at Dawn on the Channel Island of Alderney.

Flying over the English Channel in a Trilander yesterday, I managed to take a few shots.
The Sun was low, the air was cold and the clouds were low & fluffy. This was at about 5000 feet. I deliberately left the wing tip in the shot to give it some context.

The Channel Island of Alderney.
This was taken from the Trilander as we left the Island. Unfortunately I couldn't get the end of the breakwater in the shot.
There are some smudges on the window too!

These amazing clouds seen over the Isle of Wight from about 4000 feet are caused by "Geographic uplift".
For those interested it is an adiabatic process where the air being pushed up by the cliffs is cooled & the water condenses into cloud or fog.
At the end of this peninsular is "the needles"
