A few weeks later there was a lot more water once the ice and snow melted more.

no one seems to care about the Thin Ice warning signs that they had all walked past.

3 photos at 24mm, stitched in Lightroom. I cloned out the distracting avalanche risk and thin ice warning signs. This lake is so popular for it turquoise water but the snow and ice had not melted enough yet to see the pretty colours :-(

We are back from our cross Canada road trip and it was excellent! We were ahead of the tourist season so it was easy to find hotels without pre-booking. But we were also ahead of the warm weather and Lake Louise was still ice covered and the road to Moraine Lake, which I had been dying to see, was "closed" due to avalanche risk and was still covered in deep snow. Many walking trails were closed also. This is 4 shots at 24 mm, merged in Lightroom panorama. The signs say Avalanche risk and Stay off thin ice but there were lots of people on the ice over to the left of my photo taking selfies :-(

We were heading to the Icefields parkway after visiting Lake Louise so we waited for awhile in hopes a train would come around the curve, but had no luck.
