A view of the Marbold State Bank building in Greenview, Illinois. Henry Harmon Marbold, a locally prominent banker and livestock dealer, commissioned the building in 1908 as the new offices for the bank, which was established in 1877.

Designed with a Greek Revival facade, the building was the headquarters of Marbold State Bank until the institution closed in 1927. The building was then briefly occupied by the the Greenview State Bank, until it became a casualty of the Great Depression in 1930.

Over the next several decades, the Marbold State Bank building served as offices for an insurance company and, later, was converted for use as a Methodist Church. The building is now vacant.

Before the Great Depression, many of Greenview's farming and livestock profits were held in the Marbold State Bank vaults. The bank closed its doors in 1927.
