According to its owner, this 1902 Curved Dash Oldsmobile (CDO) is the oldest street legal car in the United States, and is 1 of only 6 remaining 1902 CDO's. The CDO was the first automobile to be mass produced on an automotive assembly line (Ford was first to mass produce cars on a moving assembly line). Oldsmobile was purchased by General Motors in 1908.
Photographed at the 2013 Oldsmobile Club of America National Meet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Illinois on July 23-27, 2013. Co-hosts of the event were the Archway Oldsmobile Club and Illinois Valley Oldsmobile Club.
