The welcoming sign for Darrell Wells Barber Shop, a traditional barber shop with a Springfield address that is located well north of town. Although this barber shop is out in the country, it is easy to find on the west side of Rt. 29 (past Capital airport), and is just north of Cantrall Creek Rd.

This small building was specifically designed to be a barber shop. The shop opened in 1956 as Tony Sample's Barber Shop. It was a beauty shop for a few years before being purchased by Darrell in 1973, and has been in use as a barber shop ever since.
