We live in the Midwestern belt that got blasted last night by snow, blowing winds, and sub-zero wind chill temperatures. After shoveling out our driveway earlier today, I let Bella Grace and Jelly Bean out for a romp in the backyard. While Jelly Bean preferred to sit on the deck, Bella Grace galloped out into the snow as if she were running the Kentucky Derby. This dog loves the cold winter months more than any Wheaten we've ever owned. When not romping, she thinks nothing of curling up in the snow to nap and recharge her batteries.

The dining room was full of friends and family for our annual New Year's Day dinner. I had left the table to get a cup of coffee when I came upon Bella Grace, our most sociable dog, with her head on the kitchen counter straining to see the activity in the dining room (and probably wondering why she didn't have a seat at the table). I quickly got my camera and snapped this photo of a cooperative, but somewhat mournful, Wheaten Terrier. With this posting, my first Project 365 journey has begun.

We have a daily routine of going for coffee and dog biscuits at Grab-A-Java, our local coffee drive-thru. I can almost hear Bella Grace saying "Come on Dad, let's get this show on the road. My dog treats are waiting." Bella is a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier.
