В нашем мире, где всё течёт и изменяется, где каждый год сменяют друг друга тренды, есть что-то неизменное. Большие массивные башни из камня и металла, которые возвышаются на краю моря и на которых горят путеводные огни. Эти башни стоят тут настолько долго, что практически вросли в базальт. Вокруг царит уединение и тишина. Единственным источником шума является ветер и волны, пытающиеся обнять эти башни. Тишина и ветер. И вдруг на галечном пляже показываются две машины, которые подъезжают все ближе и ближе, и из них вылезает целая компания людей с фотоаппаратами и штативами. Они приехали утолить свою жажду приключений и насладиться видами, послушать как звучит ветер и сфотографировать парочку шедевров. Они – это группа людей, увлечённых фотографией (по крайней мере я так думаю). Они взбираются на скалу и пока не понимают, какой вид им откроется сверху. Для одинокой башни на краю утеса они просто назойливые чайки, которые ищут свой выступ на птичьем базаре. Когда же они его находят, исходя из собственного инстинкта самосохранения, наступает кратковременное затишье. Они уже утолили свою жажду приключений и теперь их рты заняты чаем и печеньками, они ждут подходящего момента для шедевра. Одинокая башня наблюдает за тем, как бежит время. Проходит час или полтора, и группа фотографов забирается в свои машины, оставив после себя только эхо. Башню вновь окутывает тишина и ветер…

In our world, where everything flows and changes, where trends change each other every year, there is something constant. Large massive towers of stone and metal that rise at the edge of the sea and on which guiding lights burn. These towers have been standing here for so long that they have practically grown into the basalt. There is solitude and silence all around. The only source of noise is the wind and waves trying to hug these towers. Silence and wind. And suddenly two cars appear on the pebble beach, driving closer and closer, and a whole company of people with cameras and tripods gets out of them. They came to quench their thirst for adventure and enjoy the views, listen to the sound of the wind and photograph a couple of masterpieces. They are a group of people who are passionate about photography (at least I think so). They climb a rock and do not yet understand what kind of view they will have from above. To a lonely tower on the edge of a cliff, they are just annoying seagulls looking for their perch in the bird market. When they find it, based on their own instinct of self-preservation, there is a short-term calm. They have already quenched their thirst for adventure and now their mouths are full of tea and cookies, they are waiting for the right moment for a masterpiece. A lonely tower watches time pass. An hour or an hour and a half passes and a group of photographers get into their cars, leaving behind only an echo. A tower is once again enveloped in silence and wind...

Never planned to visit this location actually. I happened to be in Houten, and knew this photogenic houses. For a short session in the middle of the day, I was lucky with the weather, with some heavy rain showers and just enough sunshine to poke through every now and then, making these houses pop even more. I used the ten stopper and a polarizer to let them really stand out.
