I was comparing the size of my cameras. I'm still thinking of going for a bridge camera rather than the Micro 4/3 set-up. So much easier for travel.
Here are two E-PL1s
100-300 lens
40-150 lens
Sx40 fully extended to 840mm which is equvilant to around 400mm on the Micro 4/3.
I guess there isn't too much difference in overal size, but the M4/3 lenses won't do wide shots - but then I have my phone for that.
Was thinking of the Pen as it's an iconic camera and a nice 40th b-day pressie to myself. But then I was thinking about how much I'd use it vs something more versatile like a bridge camera. That's why I bought the old Sx40 for £100 to test the bridge life out and decide. Was thinking would just test the size, form factor etc, but it turns out the 40 is one heck of a camera (in the day - awful at night). So I'm probably just sorted for a hundred quid - lovely!
