The beautiful fountain and unique shadows of the pollarded plane trees on Golden Gate Park's Main Concourse.

This plaza, situated between the M.H. de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences, was originally developed in 1894 for the California Midwinter International Exposition.

Beautiful Grace Cathedral sits atop swanky Nob Hill in San Francisco.

The Episcopal cathedral, designed in the French Gothic style, is a prominent center for art and music, and a favorite San Francisco travel destination.

The cathedral was built on land donated by the Crocker family, the railroad/banking magnates whose mansions on the site had been destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire. Construction began in 1928 and continued through 1964.

I shot a series of kite photos while waiting for my entry time for the Impressionism exhibit at the nearby de Young Museum. I'm happy we weren't able to get into the show immediately, that the sun was finally shining after many days of rain and gloom, and that there was a breeze.

Still trying to wrap my mind around this new, significantly wider 24mm equivalent lens.
