The USS Moctobi (ATF-105) and USS Quapaw (ATF-110), now renamed Lion and Tiger, are naval ocean tugs which were commissioned during World War II. They also served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. They were decommissioned in 1985.

They have been slowly decaying in Richmond Shipyard No. 3, the old Kaiser Shipyard, for many years.

All sorts of interesting things can be seen at Shipyard No. 3, including the Wapama (center), the last wooden steam schooner built (1915), and the SS Red Oak Victory Ship (upper left).

The Horne was sunk as part of RIMPAC naval exercises on July 14, 2008. It was 547 ft. long, and had a variety of armaments when it was active, including surface to air missiles and topedos. To guage its enormity, there are 2 people visible in this photograph. One is on the dock toward the upper left edge of the image, the other is to the right of the surface to air missile launcher, slightly forward of mid-ship.

Thanks to Scott Haefner for showing me that I could create a panorama of 2 stitched images to create a single image of the entire ship.
