The wind was quite light in the Marin Headlands near the Golden Gate Bridge and Cris was bringing out the heavy artillery...his Maxi-Dopero. This is one of the stops Cris Benton, Dave Wheeler and I made on a KAP outing in Marin the day after many KAPers got together at Bayfront Park. Several of us are planning to get together somewhere in this neighborhood next Saturday, March 28th.

Bringing the camera down to make an adjustment. That hand looks like it belongs to Frankenstein's monster....

Carrizo Plain is a beautiful, isolated valley in central California. It is a huge basin which does not drain to the sea. All the runoff from the surrounding mountains drains into Soda Lake, one of the largest alkali wetlands in California.

Aerial view of Point Isabel, a dog park with no dogs and no masters due to the coronavirus lockdown of Spring 2020.

At 43 acres, Point Isabel is one of the largest dog parks in the United States and is usually teaming with dogs and people on a gorgeous spring morning.

San Francisco, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen in the background.

Update: The park has reopened as of June 1st, but dogs have to remain on leash for now, That seemed to be a deal-breaker for most people because there were very few people and dogs there today (June 4th.)
