It's been another three years since I've shot aerials at this fantastic location. There has not been much rain in the interim, so there is much more crystalized salt than the last time I was here.
It's always a treat to shoot here, and this place absolutely blew the mind of my fellow aerial photographer who is visiting from The British Isles.

Men dyeing animal skins at the Chouwara Tannery in Fez, Morocco. We were told that this process hasn't changed much in centuries. After half an hour of observing the scene, we found this quite plausible.

Designated in 1981 and part of NOAA, the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary spans 1,279-square-miles (966 square nautical miles) just north and west of San Francisco Bay, and protects open ocean, nearshore tidal flats, rocky intertidal areas, estuarine wetlands, subtidal reefs, and coastal beaches within its boundaries.
