Starting a new series of pictures I took on a four week trip through Western Canada this June/July, mainly of Vancouver Island, which completes the Canada Coast-to-Coast trip I had done in 2009 together with my son Alex. With the exception of Nunavut and Newfoundland/Labrador, I have now visited all regions of Canada. I took over 5000 images on this trip, met a lot of interesting people and visited some fantastic places and landscapes. I hope some of the photos will be able to convey the beauty and life in Western Canada.

A short mountain range at Jake's Corner, commonly referrred to as White Mountain. The most western rise is Mount White, named after Thomas White, Minister of the Interior from 1887-1888. There are mountain goats on these ridges.
