My Light's End short stories are based on a real town where I lived for 18 years. One of my memories includes a time when there were dozens and dozens of brands of soda pop. Double Cola belonged to my 'hometown'--Light's End!

At its peak, there were five theaters on August Street, the main 'drag' of Light's End, Maine. This is the Rex in the 1920s. It became the Seminole Theater later on.
