It's another from Blue Canyon. Not much left to say about the place. It was spectacular. My friend Rick and I were the only two people there. It is in the middle of nowhere. It's one of the most amazing places I have ever seen.

Here is another one of my favorite places I visited in 2010. Little Finland. This is from just a few weeks ago. My visit here was way too brief. I can't wait to go back and spend a lot more time in this incredible place. It has, by far, the most incredible red sandstone formations I have ever seen.

This was some of the reddest sandstone I have ever seen. Shooting this at dusk made it look even more red. I actually reduced the saturation by 20% on this. It was so red, it looked fake.

Another from that great hike I did down into Bryce Canyon last week. I used my 24mm tilt/shift lens on this one to eliminate keystoning on the hoodoos. I sure have seen my share of different temperatures this past couple of weeks. When I left Mesa, AZ a couple weeks ago, the temperatures were getting up into the 90's every afternoon. Last week, in Bryce Canyon, May started out with a bang. When I think of May, I always think of pretty green trees, flowers, and perfect spring temperatures. After one of the windiest nights I've ever experienced, I woke up on the morning of May 1st, freezing my ass off. I woke up shivering, and ran to turn on my heater. I looked at my thermometer, it was 24 degrees out.

Here's another from a couple nights ago, at Blue Canyon. After about four hours of dismal light, overcast skies and drizzly rain, we were rewarded with a great sunset, an amazing dusk, and to top it all off, right after sunset we got this rainbow! I can't imagine a more spectacular place to shoot a rainbow. Usually when I see a rainbow this nice, I'm in the parking lot of a shopping mall, or stuck in traffic somewhere.

I took Jill to see Blue Canyon last week. This truly is the most spectacular canyon I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing, and bizarre place. It is a photographers dream. This place photographs so well, even Jill got a few decent shots.

This was shot right at sunset, just as the sun broke through the clouds for a few seconds.
