I shot this a couple nights ago, at dusk. It's the New Orleans skyline, from across the Mississippi River.
Well, I'm BACK! After an excessively LONG roadtrip. My home may be on wheels, but it's still home. I never thought I could be homesick to get back to a home I could drive. But I was. This trip was a bit much. I left a little over three weeks ago, leaving the motorhome in Texas. I drove to New Jersey, to visit family and friends, and eat some real Sub sandwiches. I drove 5200 miles. Passed through 17 states. Slept in the back of my truck, friends houses, basements, and hotels. I visited seven flickr friends along the way. I finally got back to my broken motorhome late last night. Hopefully the part I need to fix this thing is now available. I want to enjoy a few more days near the beach, before I start the journey back to home base. Mesa, Arizona. Back to the desert.

Alright, I'm going back to working on my Chicago photos. I'm in St. Louis now. I don't like it here. I don't feel like looking at any of the crappy photos I took today, so, I'm working on my Chicago stuff from last week. Ya got a problem with that?
The big building is the Sears tower, which I think is the tallest building in the USA.

Well, this was a fun place to shoot. The Thanksgiving Square, in Dallas. Thanks to my friend Susan. She showed me some photos of this place, and I thought, 'that's really cool. I'd love to shoot that at dusk' ...So, I did. It was interesting! Now... I'm not a racist, but... When I'm the only white person within sight, and I'm carrying a camera bag and tripod worth thousands of dollars, I feel, well... Uncomfortable. When people keep coming up to me, and asking me for money. I feel... Even more uncomfortable. I normally never give beggars money, but I actually would have, just to make them happy, but all I had in my wallet was one $20 bill... Now, I'm not going to give them a $20... I don't want to tell them that I have a $20. Because, then they'd know that I had a $20. I certainly don't want to ask them, "Well, can you break a $20?" So, I just did the obvious, and acted dumb, and said I had no money, and hoped that they wouldn't realize that I may have no money, but I have thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment! I was really glad to make it back to my truck. And... If anyone is looking to buy some good Crack. Go to Thanksgiving Square, in Dallas.

This is dusk thru the famous St Louis arch, from last week's brief, one day visit there. No visit to St Louis would be complete without shooting the damn arch. Jill and I went up to the top. It's really big.

Here is a never before seen view of San Francisco. It's the famous 'Painted Ladies'. I don't think anyone has ever photographed them before. San Francisco is famous for it's old Victorian homes, among other things. San Francisco is famous for a LOT of things. Beautiful architecture. The most insane hills you will ever experience in your life! Fog. Wind. Crappy weather. Strange people. Homeless people. Artistic people. Gays. Lesbians. Drag queens. Sea Lions. Just to name a few.
