This was from my fall foliage excursion a couple weeks ago. I couldn't get any big panoramic overviews this year. Last year, every tree in Colorado changed color at the exact same time. This year there were just little patches of color here and there, so I just had to put on the long lens and try to be creative.
So far the Balloon Festival has been a complete washout, so I'm digging through other photos.

I shot this a couple months ago, up near the top of the mountain, by Flagstaff. Yes... Arizona does have some trees, and if you get high enough into the mountains, there is some fall color.

On an unrelated note. This story is too funny not to tell...
I love Daylight Savings Time. There's nothing I dread more than the day we have to turn the clocks back an hour, in the fall. All the sudden, it's getting dark at 5:00. It's just depressing. I hate it! So... Monday night... After two days of subtracting an hour every time I looked at the time, I finally gave in and turned all my clocks back an hour. Well... The very next morning, (yesterday) I packed up the motorhome, and left Carlsbad, New Mexico. Within 25 miles of driving, I crossed the line into Texas, where I saw a sign announcing... "Now observing Central Time, turn clocks ahead one hour." Doh! SON OF A BITCH!!! ...Oh well ...At least I'm back to Daylight Savings time.
