I LOVE this place!!!

I visited the Oak Alley Plantation yesterday. What an absolutely spectacular property this is. It is probably the most famous old plantation in all of the south. Out in front of the house are two perfect rows of Live Oak trees that were planted over 300 years ago.

I did some driving along the coast of Missisippi yesterday. This is in Biloxi, ground zero of Hurricane Katrina. A year and a half later, it is still one of the saddest things I have ever seen in my life. Lots of stairways leading to what used to be a house.

Oak Alley Plantation, in Louisiana. This is the opposite angle, looking out from the front porch of the Plantation house. This was taken as three seperate photos, stitched together, in Photostitch. I also used some Orton effect to enhance the dreamlike quality.
