I shot this a few months ago on my way back from an overnight trip to Alstrom Point. Jill and I camped out there under the full moon. Alstrom point is a beautiful plateau with a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Powell. So, the next morning we stopped here on our way back to Page. I just loved the texture of the dried mud. I let the Dogs out of my truck to run around for a little while. I thought all of the mud was completely dried up, but there was one little wet spot underneath that overhang in the middle. Bridget found it. Just about one second after I shot this, Jill yelled to me, "It looks like an animal walked through the mud here" Just as she said that, I saw Bridget jumping into the back of my truck completely COVERED with mud! Like giant chunks of mud just dripping off of every square inch of her body. This wasn't your average mud. This was MUD FROM HELL!!! This crap was like Spackle, and within two seconds the entire back of my truck was covered with it. My bed. My sheets. My carpet… It dries like concrete. Since then I have actually powerwashed the back of my truck, and I still have some chunks of it stuck to things. At the time, I only had one small jug of water, so I had to drive all the way back to my motorhome with her covered with this crap!
