Well... I've been putting it off all week. Today I finally did it. This was a bitch of a hike. I keep looking up at this spectacular waterfall and thinking 'I have to get up there' This hike was only a couple of miles, each way, but it was a couple of miles of switchbacks climbing straight up a cliff wall. This is Upper Yosemite Falls. There is Upper, Middle, and Lower. I started at the bottom of lower, and made it about halfway to the top of Upper, so I climbed over 2000 feet! I don't understand these people who love hiking, purely for the sake of hiking. I can honestly say, I HATE hiking! The only thing I like about hiking is when I finally get to whatever beautiful place I am hiking to, and I can sit down on a rock and pull out my camera and hopefully get some nice shots. If I could have a helicopter just drop me there, I would be very, very happy. This waterfall drops 1500 feet. When the wind hits it, and blows it around like this, it is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It keeps changing, it looks almost alive. It's so big, it doesn't even look like water, it looks like swirling clouds, or billowing steam.
