Back from our backpacking adventure to Yellowstone.

We stayed the first two nights of our loop at the Cresent Lake campsite. The total loop was 26 miles in four days and included a 3,000 foot climb up to the continental divide.

Exhausting and great trip. Looking forward to catching up with everyone, albeit slowly.

This was the view at the top of our climb at the Continental Divide. Elevation of around 9500 feet. We had our packs on - which I propped up to rest the camera on timer. We were alone up there. I'm impressed with this crew that they made it. Sensational Saturday to you.

This was the beginning leg of our Yellowstone backpacking loop. We were up in the Gallatin Mountains in the northwest corner of the park. Starting at Specimen Creek (WK3) Trailhead and heading to our first site WE6 Crescent Lake. The first two miles or so of the trail was like this. Sunny with intermittent trees. Dry and warm.

Fantastic Friday to you.

Elk outside of the Ranger Village near Mammoth Hot Springs.

They just hang out right next to the road. Be respectful though.

Terrific Thursday to you.

Cool falls and little trail with it. The trail to the base of the falls has been closed for a long time and wasn't open when we were there. More touristy then I prefer, but if it is along the road you are driving it is a good place to make a stop and stretch the legs for a moment.

Travel safe today. Be well.
