P.S. Did anyone else get the email from Flickr about marketing photos if you give them 49% of the profit? Is this a good deal? I've never sold an image before, so I have no idea. It seems like potential income for doing virtually nothing is a good deal, but half seems steep. Just a question.

This was taken while it was snowing. The overall effect for this shot and most of this album, however, is created by super cropping and then enlarging. We all have those images where a background world exists in the far reaching distance that is so far removed that it doesn't seem part of the actual image. As an experiment, I cropped into that background world. A 1% ? crop creating a resultant image that is only an inch or a few centimeters tall. And then I enlarged the cropped image size so that it is ten times the crop. I find the effect grainy. In urban images - the result appears industrial and laden with smog. Chicago in particular is actually a clean city. More of the result of an experiment really not actual conditions.
