This was taken one week ago today. We stole a moment.

It wasn't just a moment, but more of a day. It was a frame of mind and of spirit. It was the greatest and coolest thing that I have ever participated in. The best part is that we knew it at the time and lived it.

The experience was a connection between two people. During that time, only that connection mattered and existed. I feel so happy and fortunate. I feel like I will look back to this moment in years to come and recall this as a turning point in my life, as a turning point of who I am.

It was all so very simple and easy to create. That we could steal these moments along the way.

With the beginning of this new day, new year, new chapter - I want to start with this as I move forward. Today, tomorrow and every day for the rest of our lives - I promise to do my best in every way. I promise to steal as many moments as we can. I do.

Just a pause for a moment along the way. The chaotic week overwhelmed even today and tomorrow the madness starts anew. But for now it is only you and I. We can put our feet up. Listen past the low music to the rhythm of our breath. Just breathe. Touch, soothe, calm, centered. The madness does not determine our lives as much as how we spend the break in between. Together. It's the only way that I would want it and I am glad it's that way. So let's put our feet up and be.

Perhaps I don't know where I am or even where I am going. At this moment, just as the one prior and likely the next one as well, I do know that questions of this nature are secondary. In the quiet of the night, just between you and I, we can explore an idea. Any idea. They are just words - words that we can feel, that we can experience, touch and understand. The process is the important part. That we talk, that we communicate, that we understand. As we do, as we have done and as we will always do. I would be lost without our patience with each other and without our understanding of each other.

An idea - the idea, any idea - is not what matters as that will change from moment to moment. The light slowly fades in the sky and then from the room. Each moment slipping away to darkness and thankfully bringing the trials of the week along with it. All that is left is you and I. Us. The coolness of the sheet is offset by the warmth of our touch. Our breath deepens, our awareness is heightened. With each caress we become closer. Softly and intently becoming one. Together. With just one more touch.
