Autumn has helped us at the Motel since February. She is an interesting woman who has a lot of wonderful stories to tell, and has a lot of insight in to her self and the world she lives in. She had never been up to S Mountain, over looking Salida. So we loaded up and headed up there for the sunset.

Again, she wouldn't sit still. Finally something caught her attention and she paused from sniffing everything around. I simply said the name of her favorite dog friend "Oola" and got this response from her.
As I get ready to set the sails again and leave CO, I find myself getting really sad that I'll be leaving this dog who isn't mine...but almost feels like I'll be abandoning her.

Not the best at commands, and hard to shoot with a manual focus lens. I say I got luck here with such a good pose and proper focus at f/1.4.
As I get ready to set the sails again and leave CO, I find myself getting really sad that I'll be leaving this dog who isn't mine...but almost feels like I'll be abandoning her.

The sun going down over Mt. Shavano and the Sawatch Mountains in central Colorado. I don't often go out of my way to watch the sunset or even to take photos of it...this was just a real nice one to be lucky enough to have seen.

I got stuck behind a pickup driving about 15 MPH...So instead of being frustrated I paused to take a photo of my car with the snow capped peaks behind it.
