The Kapellbrücke is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the River Reuss in Lucerne, Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century. The bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge.

Walter's Mill Covered Bridge in Somerset County, PA is one of ten remaining covered bridges in “America’s County”. Located one mile south of the Barronvale Covered Bridge (the longest covered bridge in Somerset County), Kings Covered Bridge is the heart of a small park-like setting just off of Route 653, 12 miles southwest of Somerset.

The Taftsville Covered Bridge is a timber-framed covered bridge spanning the Ottauquechee River in the Taftsville village of Woodstock, Vermont. Built in 1836, it is among the oldest remaining covered bridges in Vermont.

The Ashuelot Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge over the Ashuelot River on Bolton Road between Winchester and Hinsdlae, in Ashuelot, an unincorporated village of Winchester, New Hampshire. Built in 1864-65, it is one of the state's few surviving 19th-century covered bridges. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

The Durgin Bridge is a covered bridge carrying Durgin Bridge Road over the Cold River in eastern Sandwich, New Hampshire. Built in 1869, it is a rare surviving example of a Paddleford truss bridge, and one of the few surviving 19th-century covered bridges in New Hampshire. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
