Architects Brooks & Scarpa designed the Modernist style Six Disabled Veterans Housing in 2014. , The "Six" referring to the slang used by veterans for "got your back" is a 50-unit affordable housing project catering to disabled vets offering support and rehab services and shelter in which "private space is deemphasized, in favor of large public areas. The organization of the space is intended to transform the way people live-away from a reclusive, isolating layout towards a community-oriented, interactive space"
