Architect Edla Muir designed the French Eclectic style house for John C. and Geneva Wood in 1962. In 1982 the Organization of Women Architects honored Edla Muir and Lutah Maria Riggs as pioneering women in architecture, in a publication to mark the group's tenth anniversary.

Contractor Carl L. Haun designed the Colonial Revival style house for John M. Lockyer and his wife Constance originally in 1937. Architect Edla Muir (1878-1963) at the age of 83 remodeled the house in 1961 for Nathan and Beatrice Weisstein.
