Architect Kurt Meyer-Radon designed the Colonial Revival style house for A. Pelham Carter in 1941. Working as a realtor, Mr. Carter was charged with obtaining money under false pretensions by swindling a woman out of her life savings. Later it seems he redeemed himself and had a successful career in the years prior to the Great Depression. Located at 5020 West Ambrose Avenue in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 1178) in 2019. Architect Kurt Meyer-Radon designed the Sovereign Hotel in a Spanish Colonial Revival style in 1928. The property was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and designated a Santa Monica Historic Monument (No. 31) in 1996.

German-born architect Kurt Meyer-Radon emigrated to the United States in 1923, settling with his family in Eagle Rock. Among his best known projects are the Sovereign Hotel-Apartments in Santa Monica and the Seely Studios Building in Glendale, California.
