Formerly El Divino Salvador Presbyterian Church, the late Shingle style building in more recent years has become Saint Cyril of Alexandria Coptic Orthodox Church. A base of locally-quarried stone supports the shingle-covered tower and gables. Located at 5116 Irwindale Road in Irwindale, California. Built from boulders quarried from the nearby San Gabriel River, the Craftsman style house was constructed by Irwindale's first settlers in 1917. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles closed the mission in 1988, after determining that the unreinforced walls would not withstand a major earthquake. The mission was purchased by the City of Irwindale in 1990, promising renovations and reinforcements to preserve it as an historic landmark.
