Architects A. Quincy Jones and Frederick Emmons designed the Modernist style House for financier and philanthropist Louis and Sylvia Golan in 1956. Mr. Golan was born in Chicago o September 1, 1900 and graduated from Stanford University. He was vice president of Shenley Industries and a member of the Chicago Park Commission before moving to Los Angeles in 1939. He was chairman of the board of Lenfield Co. and a director of City National Bank of Beverly Hills and served as a trustee of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs.
