Architect Robert V. Derrah designed the Colonial Revival style house for building contractor Edward P. Dentzel in 1935, possibly as a speculative venture. Although architect Robert V. Derrah is best known for his body of Streamline Moderne work, the Colonial Revival style house he designed at 816 North Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills demonstrates his ability to design pleasing architecture in a variety of stylistic expressions.
