The Western Hotel is the oldest surviving building in Lancaster, California. It was built by the Gilroy family in 1876, and sold to George T. Webber in 1902 who operated it as a hotel. The building was erected at a train stop of the Sothern Pacific Railroad which ran through the Antelope Valley linking San Francisco with Los Angeles. The hotel was remodeled in 1992 and converted into a small museum offering free tours. Designated a California Historical Landmark in 1958.
