Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen designed the main terminal building of the Washington Dulles International Airport in 1958. The design included a landscaped man-made lake to collect rainwater, a low-rise hotel, and a row of office buildings along the north side of the main parking lot. Architectural critics note that Saarinen's design is highly suggestive of flight. Located at 1 Saarinen Circle, Dulles, Virginia.
