Camps Bay is a wealthy suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. The area lay undeveloped until the Victoria Road was developed in 1887. In 1901 a tramway connecting the bay to the city of Cape Town brought weekenders out. At that time the tidal pools were developed along with a hotel and concert pavilion.
