Snail, woman, flower and star is an oil painting by Joan Miró in 1934 and is currently part of the permanent collection of the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. This painting was made in Barcelona in 1934, shortly before the beginning of the Spanish Civil War . Miró leaves the children's and humorous style of his previous works) for darker colors and a more serious style.

The painting is made up of four characters with vertical tones of brown, red, black and white. They are arranged in a tanning base, dark green and gray. The characters in the foreground are made of blocks of solid colors with contrasting color colors that are used for the bottom of the cloth. The biggest block is a white hand pointing down. The whole composition is dark. The words Cargol, Dona, Flor i Estrella are recorded from left to right in black and connected by a curved line. Following the curved line, the order of words is from left to right: woman, screw, flowers, stars. You can read ETH where the star is larger, which serves as a copulative conjunction.
