The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive mosque
built during the Mamluk Islamic era in Egypt completed in 1359 A.D. The adjacent Al-Rifa'i Mosque which dates from around 1361 was conceived as a complement to the older structure as part of a campaign to glorify earlier periods in Egypt's history.

The Mosque of Abu Dahab is a mosque in Cairo, Egypt just beside Al Azhar Mosque. The mosque was built by the Amir Mohamed Beh Abu El Dahab, one of the leaders of Egypt during the rule of the Ottoman Empire. It is located in Al Azhar Street, beside the main entrance of the Azhar Mosque and it is the fourth mosque in Egypt to be built according to the Ottoman style of architecture.

Arabic-speaking desert nomads of the Middle East are known as bedouin. Ethnically, the bedouin are identical to other Arabs. Bedouin social rank is determined by the animals they herd: camel nomads are most prestigious, followed by sheep and goat herders, and finally cattle nomads. Avdat is the site of a ruined Nabataean city in the Negev desert in southern Israel. It was the most important city on the Incense Route after Petra, between the 1st century BCE and the 7th century CE.
