Architect Albert Frey, FAIA designed the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Valley Station in 1963. The bridge-like structure straddles a gully, allowing water and the occasional boulder to pass underneath without damaging the structure. Walls of glass offer a view of the surrounding mountains. The interior ceiling is of perforated and corrugated aluminum, a trademark of the architect's work. The aerial tramway itself was finished at the same work, designed by the consortium of architects John Porter Clark, Stewart Williams, H Roger Williams, Albert Frey and Robson Chambers with Tudor Engineering Company serving as project engineers.

The station was designated a Palm Springs Historic Preservation Site (No. 33) in 1999. Located at 1 Tramway Road in Palm Springs, California.

Designed by architects Donald Wexler AIA and Richard Harrison AIA in 1961-1962, the house is one of seven homes built of steel and glass using a unique synthesis of prefabrication and both off-site and on-site assembly. Adapting a steel panel system the architects use for school classrooms, Wexler and Harrison created a stylish interpretation of modernism for homes in the harsh desert climate. The houses display clean simple lines, designed for low maintenance to serve an emergent and affluent middle class. The seven houses are listed as Palm Springs historic preservation sites.
