Architect Ross Montgomery designed the English Revival style house for Dr. William L. Weber, Chief Surgeon for the Pacific Electric Hospital Association, the hospital that served employees of the Pacific Electric Railroad. Dr. Weber served the Pacific Electric for 33 years retiring in September 1946. Dr. Weber occupied the house with his wife Emelia Ebeling Weber and their son William Lis Weber. Emelia Weber was the older sister of Elvina Ebeling Montgomery, Ross Montgomery's wife and the architect of the home.
