Architect Paul R. Williams designed the English Tudor Revival style house for grain merchant Charles W. Hunter and his wife Flora in 1924. The house is currently (February 2016) being renovated and remodeled by De Angeles Designs Architects and John R. Robert, Interior Design & Horticulture.

Architect Paul R. Williams designed the Colonial Revival style house for Robert Eckhardt and his wife Anna in 1932. Eckhardt was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on August 23, 1882. He was a vocalist and music teacher. He died in Pasadena in December 1967.

English Revival style residence designed by architect Paul R. Williams for William Henry Harrison, a business executive, who shared the house with his wife Josephine and two of her children from a previous marriage. Mr. Harrison was born in Jonesville, Wisconsin in 1869. By 1900 he was living in a Los Angeles boarding house, however by 1911, he had improved his status to become the Postmaster of Los Angeles, after which he became the Vice President and General Manager of the Los Angeles Investment Company. After Mr. Harrison passed away in 1940, his widow continued to live at the property until the mid-1940s.
The property was sold to Alfred C. Berghoff and his wife Hollie in 1944. Berghoff was the owner of the Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood as well as the Miramar in Santa Monica. The property has passed through five owners since and has been maintained in excellent state.
